The good...

In January of this year, Donny 2-Dolls filed a lawsuit against his own Department of Treasury alleging the IRS leaked his 2019-2020 tax returns to the press. The DOJ settled the case out of court and, instead of pursuing the case, agreed to create a $1.8 billion fund to provide payments to January 6 insurrectionists who claimed they were unfairly prosecuted. In addition, the settlement included a provision that the Trump family and businesses could never be audited by the IRS for past or future inquiries.
Todd Blanche was nominated to replace Pam Bondi as Attorney General of the United States, but his confirmation has been held up because not all Republicans have been willing to support his nomination. This week, the last two Republican holdouts agreed to support Blanche's nomination in exchange for a written guarantee that Blanche would rescind the $1.8 billion "Anti-Weaponization Fund" that allowed January 6 insurrectionists to claim payments from the federal government for their ensuing prosecution.
In addition to written promises to cancel the January 6 fund, Blanche also agreed (in writing) that the provision exempting Trump and his family and businesses from audits would only apply to audits open at the time of the settlement.
Unfortunately, now that Blanche's nomination has been confirmed, he is on his way to officially becoming the Attorney General, where he will undoubtedly serve as Trump's lapdog and continue to use the Department of Justice to target and punish Trump's political enemies with blatant disregard for the Constitution and rule of law.

For months now, Donny 2-Dolls has been pushing the false claim that the Reflecting Pool was damaged by vandals. U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro filed charges against David Hearn, a former Olympian, who was seen touching the damaged Reflecting Pool liner and later accused of damaging the national landmark. It was obvious to everyone who saw the problems with the Reflecting Pool that the damage was far too extensive and pervasive to be attributed to vandalism, but the Trump regime doubled down on its accusations, and Pirro publicly announced that Hearn was guilty before the trial.
Less than a month later, the U.S. Attorney's office was forced to drop the charges against Hearn, admitting they had no evidence of vandalism and that the damage to the Reflecting Pool was the result of shoddy installation that cost taxpayers more than $15 million and left the monument in worse shape than it was before Trump decided it needed to be "fixed."
Naturally, Donny 2-Dolls is furious, claiming Pirro "folded like an umbrella," and it is likely that Pirro will be fired. She won't be fired for filing false charges against an innocent man, but for backing down and admitting that there was not enough evidence to proceed with the blatantly unlawful case.

He damaged the pool...He reached down into the pool. Our evidence further shows that the National Park Service employees observed Hearn actually forcefully and violently pulling up and removing the bottom liner with both hands. According to witnesses, Hearn damaged approximately 2 square feet of sealant from the bottom of the pool.

Dozens of family members of active-duty U.S. servicemembers have been detained by the Trump regime's goons as they attempt to carry out his mass deportation agenda. These detentions are the direct result of policy changes made by the regime to deliberately roll back protections traditionally offered to military families.
For decades, families of military members have been protected from being deported until the Trump regime decided to withhold those protections, which have been strongly supported by both parties. Now, families of troops asked to put their lives on the line to defend the United States are being forcibly detained, often for months at a time, and many have been permanently deported.
This is yet another example of the regime's complete and total disregard for the wellbeing of the country. Allowing this to happen to military families decreases our country's military readiness, dishonors the sacrifices of those who serve, and ensures that fewer people will volunteer to serve in our military in the future.
This administration just doesn’t care, and they are not thinking about people who are putting their lives on the line for the country and to defend our nation.

The ugly...

In exchange for continued funding, ICE has recently been required to equip officers with body cameras. This requirement comes in response to multiple murders committed by ICE agents and the tendency of the agents and the department to lie about the circumstances surrounding those murders.
The cameras, paid for by taxpayers, may be of limited use, considering that ICE's policy is to only release footage from these cameras if doing so is in the "best interests of the agency." The decision on whether to release footage will be made solely at the discretion of the director of ICE, and the policy does not specify what circumstances warrant withholding the footage.
When Alex Pretti was murdered by CBP agents (A sister agency to ICE), his death was captured by body cameras worn by agents, but CBP has still not released footage of the killing. There is no reason to believe ICE would be any more forthcoming in sharing its own footage the next time its agents gun down an innocent person on the streets of the United States of America.

El-Sayed is a progressive Democrat, and more importantly, he's willing to stand up and fight the corruption in the current regime. These new Democrats are challenging the status quo and are willing to actually stand up for what they believe in, and voters are taking notice.
Across the country, voters are looking for candidates who won't buckle under the Trump regime's unending string of abuses of our political and legal system. Americans are not becoming more "leftist," but they are waking up to the reality that the Republican Party's corruption and tyranny have no place in the United States of America.
