Impeach. Convict. Remove.
Recap of this week in the revolution: Republicans have a billion-dollar propaganda campaign. U.S. still killing civilians in international waters and RFK wants AI to control our health. Hegseth plans to livestream firing squad execution and ICE agents wearing disguises shoot a car with a 5-year-old inside. Trump offers yet another blatant bribe to voters.
The good...
The Republican Party is prepared to spend up to a billion dollars to try to convince voters to support their lost cause, but even that may not be enough to overcome the stunning unpopularity of Donny 2-Dolls and the disaster he's made of this country.
A representative of MAGA Inc., a super PAC focused on raising money to support Trump's campaign said their massive spending campaign is keeping the political races more competitive than they otherwise would be. In other words, the Party's political goals are so massively unpopular that they can't compete on merit and it requires extensive (and expensive) propaganda campaigns to get people to even consider voting for them.
Even traditionally safe Republican seats are deeply threatened, requiring candidates to spend massive amounts on advertising. And because these candidates started their campaigns under the assumption that their district was safely Republican, they didn't reserve enough ad time early on, and are now paying more for the same ad spots their opponents reserved early on at deep discounts.
The bad...
Every day since taking power, the Trump regime has flooded the news with horrific reports of the crime, violence, and indecency they are perpetrating as they systematically dismantle our democracy. With new horrors being reported every day, it's easy to forget about the crimes against humanity that continue happening long after the initial outrage has turned to other topics.
With the United States losing the completely unjustified war with Iran, Trump trying to bribe people to vote for Republicans in the midterms so they can continue to shield him from accountability for his crimes, and violent mobs of federal immigration agents roaming our streets and killing or disappearing people left and right, we sometimes lose sight of other ongoing crimes.
The Trump regime has been murdering civilians in international waters for more than a year now without facing any penalties. They've used the United States military to destroy civilian boats in international waters in the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, claiming that these boats were carrying drugs to the United States, but have yet to offer any compelling evidence for any of these claims. At least 235 people have been killed in these unlawful attacks since they began.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has a reputation for denying medical science and peddling conspiracy theories and outright lies about vaccines, drugs, and food safety. Yet he's fully onboard with the idea of turning the health of Americans over to artificial intelligence, claiming that this would allow people to "fact check their own medical advice."
He said this during a MAHA summit where companies who want to curry favor with the government paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to get their "experts" on stage to speak. This pay-to-play event shows how the MAHA movement is driven by corporate greed. Originally touted as a grassroots movement, MAHA is shoving aside the "MAHA Moms" and "Moms Across America" groups that helped it gain popularity and embracing corporations bent on extracting as much profit from our healthcare system as they possibly can.
He obviously doesn’t understand how AI works.
AI aggregates the information we have in the medical literature and in case studies. And that means what you’re actually getting is medical expertise.

The ugly...
This AI-generated meme has been circulating on the internet. While the image is fake, the similarities with real Nazi symbolism are still alarming.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is planning to livestream the execution of Nidal Malik Hasan, convicted of the 2009 Fort Hood shooting and sentenced to the death penalty. This would be the first military execution since 1961, the first firing squad execution in the United States since WWII, and the first public execution in the United States since the 1930s. This is the latest example of Pete Hegseth and the Trump regime glorifying cruelty. But this is about more than just celebrating violence.
The only reason to execute people in public is to send a message: "You could be next." That's it. There's no other justification for this. The point is not to kill Hasan, who was convicted and sentenced to death. Regardless how you feel about the death penalty in general, broadcasting an execution to the public has nothing to do with seeing justice done for the victims of the crime and everything to do with keeping the rest of the population in line.

This week, ICE agents shot a man in his car with a 5-year-old boy inside. The agents fired at least seven shots at the car, and miraculously, the boy was unharmed. The agents were disguised as construction workers when they approached the vehicle while the driver, Oscar Belgal, was parking. As they approached the vehicle, Belgal started to pull forward and at least one agent drew his weapon and fired seven shots at the vehicle.
Sadly, it's hardly even news anymore when ICE agents gun people down in our streets. But what makes this case particularly disturbing is the brazen nature of the deception. These agents actively disguised themselves so they wouldn't be identifiable as federal agents, then shot someone for refusing to stop his car when they pointed a gun at him. To make matters worse, the agents did not even care that there was a child in the vehicle while they were discharging firearms at it.
If you're inclined to dismiss the agents' behavior by saying, "Well, maybe they didn't know there was a child in the car," that doesn't make this any better. In fact, it just proves how reckless these gunmen are. They draw their guns and fire at a vehicle either knowingly endangering the life of a child, or without knowing who else might be inside the vehicle they are shooting at.
The stupid...
Trump awkwardly hands a DoorDash driver a $100 tip in a cheesy political stunt at the White House earlier this year.
Trump tried to bribe voters to support the Republican Party in the upcoming midterms by promising to pay every American $5,000 if the Republicans win. That strategy doesn't seem to be working, so he's upped the ante by a whopping $90 promised to some senior citizens. Whoop-de-doo!
The latest bribe is is a small one-time payment meant to offset part of the increasing costs of Medicare annual premiums. But even if he were to follow through with this promise (which is unlikely), fewer than 1 out of 3 Medicare recipients would even be eligible for the payment, especially the low-income enrollees who probably need it the most.
What can you do this week?
Check your voter registration online. The National Association of Secretaries of State is a good place to start, and will direct you to the appropriate state voter registration website.
If you aren't registered, register today so you can vote in the midterms and beyond. If your are registered, start preparing for the elections. Check your ballot, research the candidates and issues you will be voting on. Decide how your are going to vote (by mail, by drop box, in person, on election day, during early voting periods, etc.).
And don't forget to sign up for and attend a No Kings rally near you to show the world you do not support tyranny.
Keeping you informed...
Sounds of the revolution...
