Republicans are pulling money out of campaigns to support Republicans in key battleground races and shifting it instead to protecting candidates in races that were once believed to be guaranteed wins for their party. This shifting focus shows that the Republican Party knows that they are losing ground anywhere a strong Democratic Party candidate is challenging them, and that even the races they thought they couldn't lose are suddenly vulnerable to an upset.
That doesn't mean that Democrats will necessarily win in the midterms, and Republicans are still ready and able to shovel hundreds of millions of dollars into campaign spending in the final weeks before the midterms...far more than the Democrats can hope to come up with. While Donny 2-Dolls' stunning unpopularity has done significant damage to his party overall, we can't ignore the influence money has in swaying public opinion.
Will the unprecedented tsunami of Republican money defeat the massive Democratic advantage in candidates, policies, and political climate?

For years, the United States has sanctioned Russian-supplied oil in the form of tariffs levied against countries that import Russian oil. These sanctions and tariffs are legal because they were enacted by Congress (which has the authority to impose tariffs) instead of the president (who does not have that authority). The Russian sanctions have broad bipartisan support in Congress.
Russia has been using profits from the sale of its oil to fund their war with Ukraine and to support the totalitarian regimes of their allies. But Donny 2-Dolls is defying the sanctions that have been approved by both parties in Congress and wants the United States to import hundreds of thousands of tons of diesel fuel this month, hundreds of thousands of tons next month, and millions of tons "within a short period of time" after that.
Aside from supporting Russia, the most likely reason Trump is trying to get his hands on all of this diesel fuel all of a sudden is probably an attempt to manipulate the market prices for diesel fuel, which have skyrocketed since the beginning of his war with Iran. He hopes to flood the market with fuel now and the promise of more fuel to come so that diesel prices will fall just before the midterms. Anger over rising fuel prices is one of the biggest challenges the Republican Party faces in the midterm elections, so if they can get the prices to dip lower before the election, he can give Republicans a false sense of security and lessen their focus on this hot-button issue.

Ukraine and Russia have both been targeting one another's energy infrastructure. Just days after the Russian agent Donny 2-Dolls lifted sanctions on Russian oil exports and decided to buy them for the United States, Ukraine suddenly lost the ability to use Starshield, the SpaceX-run military satellite systems operated by the Pentagon. While the system continued to work, technically, the system no longer provided reliable network connections to fast-moving drones. This immediately rendered most Ukrainian drones, essential to their defensive and short-range offensive capabilities, useless. This happened just as Russia was launching one of its deadliest attacks against Ukraine.
Starshield is operated by the United States, though it is owned by SpaceX. Elon Musk has said the U.S. government is responsible for any speed restrictions. There's really no doubt that Trump is behind this blatant sabotage of the essential military system Ukraine has relied on throughout the war. Trump has repeatedly called for Zelensky to surrender to Russia and has made calls for him to step down from leadership. All the while, Trump continues sucking up to Putin at every opportunity and actively working to advance Russian interests.

The United States is trying to dismantle the International Criminal Court (ICC), which was established in 2002 as the first and only international court with the jurisdiction to prosecute international crimes (such as genocide, war crimes, etc.). The Trump regime is cutting off access to U.S.-based financial services, technology companies, and using U.S. currency in an attempt to cripple the court's operations.
The main reason the United States is targeting the ICC is because we are guilty of committing war crimes and supporting the genocide in Palestine and could potentially face prosecution by this international court for our international crimes.
It is an attempt to obstruct the course of justice and to prevent the court from doing what it was created to do
It is an assault on the rule of law and on the very foundations of the international legal order which strikes at the simple principle that no one stands above the law.
Statement from the International Criminal Court
The Trump regime has been blatantly abusing its weaponized Department of Justice to target political enemies, so it's not surprising that a criminal investigation has been launched against longtime Trump opponent, Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar. Not much has been said about the investigation except that it involves immigration records. Omar immigrated to the United States as a refugee from Somalia in 1995, and became a U.S. citizen in 2000.
But in addition to the obvious misuse of power the Trump regime is using to try to find real or imagined crimes to charge their enemies with, this public search of Omar's home comes just three weeks before midterm elections. Traditionally, the federal government avoids publicity around investigations of political candidates for at least 60 days prior to the election to avoid the appearance of meddling with the election. But the Trump regime has been so blatant in its criminal activity that it no longer even attempts to maintain the illusion of propriety.
