Impeach. Convict. Remove.
Recap of this week in the revolution: Another Republican seat flips to Democrats and Idaho refuses to give voter data to feds. Hegseth prays for violence and House rejects Senate DHS funding deal. Trump threatens Iran's civilian infrastructure and uses ICE as his private domestic army.
The good...
Across the country, Democrats are winning seats that have traditionally been held by Republicans since Donny 2-Dolls returned to office last year. The most recent seat flipped was a state House seat in the same Florida district that includes Trump's Mar-a-lago resort. This is the 29th seat flipped by Democrats in the past year.
In 2024, Trump won that same district by 17 points. Gregory's election is a clear sign that his support is slipping nationwide. Although Trump has lived most of his life in New York, his personal residence and voter registration are in Florida. Despite his many claims that mail-in voting is fraudulent, Donny 2-Dolls voted by mail in this election.
In 2024, nearly 70% of Idaho voters voted for Donny 2-Dolls to be their president. Now, the Trump regime is demanding states turn over their voter registration records to the federal government, and this Trump-supporting state is refusing to comply with this unconstitutional order.
The Trump regime is using the power of the Justice Department to try to threaten states with endless legal battles if they don't comply with the order. Idaho secretary of State Phil McGrane has stated that it is his duty to safeguard the sensitive voter data, and he does not believe the Justice Department can protect that data. This is based off of the numerous documented instances of the Trump regime mishandling sensitive data, particularly from DOGE employees.
The bad...
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth prayed for American troops to deliver "overwhelming violence of action against those who deserve no mercy." It's worth noting that in the Christian faith, regardless of denomination, everyone is inherently deserving of mercy. That is the central tenant of the faith, and mercy is one of the core attributes of God. The very idea that anyone could be not deserving of mercy is heretical. His prayer also suggested that we are fighting against the "enemies of righteousness."
Hegseth has frequently been criticized for his support for violence and his inflammatory rhetoric. He has repeatedly defended the Crusades, an extremely bloody, nearly 200-year long religious war waged by Christians against Muslim nations fought over the land occupied by modern-day Israel and Palestine. He has informally renamed the Department of Defense to the Department of War. He has issued orders to reduce the number of faith traditions or religious affiliations recognized by the United States military from over 200 down to just 31.
Hegseth is one of many Christian Nationalists who have wormed their way into positions of power and are using that power to try to establish a theocracy in the United States, even though this is strictly prohibited by our Constitution and the very principles the nation was founded on. The majority of people of the United States self-identify as Christians, but Christian Nationalism is an extreme right-wing, predominantly political movement that does not represent the values of the broader Christian community or the teachings of the Bible.
Last week, the Senate unanimously agreed to a partial funding bill that would allow TSA officers, the Coast Guard, and other employees of DHS with the exception of Customs and Border Patrol. But the House rejected that bill and passed their own bill that would include full funding for DHS (including ICE) for eight weeks.
Both the House and Senate have to agree on the same version of the same bill before it can be taken to the president to sign into law.
Donny 2-Dolls has declared yet another national emergency in order to bypass the Constitutional provision granting Congress exclusive control over the country's finances, and has ordered TSA officers to receive their back pay for their work since the shutdown began 44 days ago. The Coast Guard, FEMA, and other DHS employees will not receive their pay.
The Senate and House are now in recess for the next two weeks, so there is no chance that a resolution will come until both chambers return to work sometime in April.
The ugly...

The Trump regime is getting desperate as their ill-conceived war isn't going well as Iran is doing exactly what every expert on the region expected them to do: Restricting access to the Strait of Hormuz, and thus choking off about 20% of the world's oil supply. Apparently, the Trump regime didn't think about the consequences of their actions when they started bombing Iran in February.
The rest of the world is not pleased that the rash actions of the United States have all but cut off their own oil supplies and wreaked havoc on the global economy. And Donny 2-Dolls is getting desperate to try to find a solution.
His latest idea is to threaten to bomb civilian energy infrastructure in Iran, which would constitute a war crime if he goes through with it. He's begged other countries to send their own militaries to the region to clean up the mess he's made, but our allies aren't going to walk into that trap.
The Trump regime has deployed ICE agents to airports around the country to help fill gaps created by TSA workers quitting or calling in sick after being asked to work without pay for weeks now.
These ICE agents cannot fill most of the roles that TSA agents perform because they have no training. They are still being paid, even though their department has not been funded this year because their funding was secured by last years' foolishly-named "Big Beautiful Bill" so they are getting paid to stand around doing nothing while the TSA agents they are supposedly "supporting" are not being paid for their work. So why are the ICE agents there?
The Trump regime is wielding ICE agents as their own private army answerable only to the president and not to Congress. This is a clear violation of the Constitution of the United States and the separation of powers that is the entire basis of the American way of life.
ICE needs to be completely abolished, but until that can happen, they cannot legally act in any capacity other than enforcing immigration laws. Their presence in our airports is illegal. So, once again, we'll all say: ICE OUT NOW.
