The Good...

A review of the first 100 days can be summed up in one word: Oops! [Link]

Donny 2-Dolls' first 100 days in office has been a non-stop deluge of policies enacted by the regime that, "oops," were later rescinded or blocked once their stupidity was revealed.

From policies that were simply not thought through ahead of time, like firing nuclear engineers tasked with protecting our country's nuclear weapons and facilities, to those the regime thought they could sneak in without anyone noticing, like cutting funding that supports 9/11 first responders, the administration has been backpeddling and reversing course daily as their stunning incompetence is called out.

On April 14, Columbia University student Mohsen Mahdawi was arrested by gestapo agents who trapped him during his U.S. citizenship interview. Mahdawi is a legal permanent resident of the United States, who has held a valid green card for over a decade and is currently applying for citizenship status.

Mahdawi is an outspoken advocate of non-violence, who has legally participated in protests against the genocide in Gaza. Mahdawi has also spoken out publicly against antisemitic agitators who threatened to disrupt peaceful protests.

Mahdawi was held in ICE custody in Vermont from his arrest until April 30, when he was released on bail at the order of U.S. District Judge Geoffrey Crawford, pending resolution of his habeas corpus petition.

After his release, Mahdawi had this to say:

"I am saying it clear and loud to President Trump and his cabinet: I am not afraid of you!"

Mike Waltz fired, sort of [Link]

Marco Rubio (left) will replace Mike Waltz (right) as (interim) National Security Adviser

In a move that surprised no one, Donny 2-Dolls fired his National Security Adviser Mike Waltz on May 1, 2025. Waltz was replaced by Marco Rubio, who went from calling Trump a touchy, insecure, con-artist to being one of his most loyal lapdogs.

Waltz's firing comes after a series of blunders and missteps that have left the administration scrambling to contain the fallout. The regime has been criticized for its handling of foreign policy, particularly in the Middle East, where tensions have escalated in recent weeks.

Shortly after announcing the termination of Waltz, the Trump regime also announced that they had given Waltz a golden parachute by nominating him for the position of U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. This nomination would have gone to Representative Elise Stefanik in March, which would have prompted a special election to replace Stefanik in the House of Representatives. The Trump regime decided to revoke Stefanik's nomination over fear that growing public outcries against the administration might lead to the election of a Democrat to fill Stefanik's vacated position.

Judges rule against Trump's use of AEA [Link]

At least three federal judges, from New York, Colorado, and Texas, have declared the Trump regime's use of the Alien Enemies Act to be illegal.

New York District Judge Alvin Hellerstein called the regime's actions an "Inquisition like Medieval times." Both judges have issued restraining orders blocking the deportation of certain immigrants held under the AEA.

The Alien Enemies Act can only be used during a "declared war between the United States and any foreign nation or government" or an "invasion or predatory incursion." It cannot be used against the Tren de Aragua gang, which is not a nation or government and whose activities in the United States do not meet the definition of an invasion or predatory incursion.

Incompetent Attorney General Pam Bondi claims Trump has saved...how many lives? [Link]

Sometimes, it can be pretty hard to tell when people are lying. But thankfully, Pam Bondi makes it easy.

Early last week, Bondi told Fox News that the Trump regime's fentanyl seizures had saved 21 million lives.

Maybe that wasn't impressive enough because, on April 29, Bondi was on Fox News again, this time claiming the Trump regime's fentanyl seizures had saved 119 million lives.

Even saving 1/3 of the entire U.S. population in only 3 months wasn't impressive enough, so on April 30, Bondi stated in a cabinet meeting that the Trump regime's fentanyl seizures had saved 258 million lives...3 out of every 4 Americans!

For context, according to the DEA, the United States saw a 14.5% decline in overdose deaths from 2023 to 2024. About 70% of the 107,000 overdose deaths in 2023 were attributed to opioids like fentanyl.

The Bad...

Justice Department removes support for victims of crime [Link]
U.S. Department of Justice logo

The Justice Department is putting an end to hundreds of federal grant programs that provide help to victims of hate crimes, sex trafficking, victims of violence, and refugees. The reason? These programs do not "effectuate" the Justice Department's priorities.

Does that mean justice for victims of crime is not a priority for the United States Justice Department? Yes. That's exactly what that means.

True to the regime's modus operandi, a few of the most offensive cuts were rolled back after public outcry, but that only accounts for 7 of the 365 grants cut.

RFK Jr. says figuring out which jobs are important before firing people "takes too long" [Link]

RFK Jr. has been dismantling agencies in the Department of Health and Human Services. As one former government employee stated, "a lot of people are going to die needlessly." This comes after DOGE has already made sweeping cuts to the same agencies.

The cuts were handled so chaotically that employees learned they had been fired when the access badges that allowed them entry to their workplaces stopped working.

It turns out that some of the cuts involved critical programs, and RFK Jr. didn't know that they had been cut, but that they might be re-instated along with other programs that they cut and later restored. When asked whether it would have been better to review the programs being cut before firing employees, Kennedy had this to say:

Kennedy: "That would have been another approach, and it's the approach that has failed for 60 years...it takes too long and you lose political momentum."

Trump regime dismissing active voting rights cases amid DOJ dismantling [Link]
U.S. Department of Justice logo

The Trump regime has reassigned voting section managers to other DOJ arms to focus on voter fraud, which was formerly enforced under a small unit in the criminal division. Historically, there have been very few voting fraud cases, and the redirection of staff to focus on fraud indicates the regime plans to ramp up the number of fraud cases it investigates.

All DOJ attorneys have been directed to drop any active voting rights cases which will weaken enforcement of voter protections nationwide.

Assistant Attorney General in charge of the civil rights division has re-written the mission of the Voting Rights Section of the DOJ Civil Rights Division, stating "All attorney within the Voting Section will advocate with zeal on behalf of the United States of America in furtherance of all objectives as tasked."

This is yet another case of the Trump regime's attempts to weaponize the Department of Justice, even though Donny 2-Dolls has repeatedly said he would end such practice.

The Ugly...

Federal immigration agents traumatize U.S. citizens [Link]

Two weeks after moving to Oklahoma City from Maryland, a family was terrorized by 20 armed men bursting through the door in the early hours of the morning. The men identified themselves as U.S. Marshals, ICE, and FBI, and ordered a mother and her daughters to stand outside in the rain in their underwear at gunpoint while they tore apart the house, taking everything of value including cash, phones, and computers. The mother repeatedly assured the agents that she and her daughters were citizens, but they did not care. They destroyed the house and took the families possessions and didn't leave any information about if or how they could ever get their property returned to them.

The agents wore insignia from the U.S. Marshals office, but the Marshal's office has denied any involvement. The FBI claimed that they were assisting in the operation when first questioned, but later changed their story and said they had no involvement. ICE has refused to respond to requests for information about their involvement.

The Trump regime issued a memo stating that it will arrest journalists who refuse to give up their confidential sources upon request, a flagrant breach of the constitutional right to a free press. Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote in the memo:

"This Justice Department will not tolerate unauthorized disclosures that undermine President Trump's policies, victimize government agencies, and cause harm to the American people...this conduct could properly be characterized as treasonous."

Aside from the fact that Bondi doesn't understand what the term "treasonous" actually means, Bondi is declaring that anyone reporting on Presidential misconduct or unlawful actions could legally be executed.

In just 100 days, Trump took the world's greatest economy to a crisis state [Link]

As Joe Biden left office, the U.S. economy was the envy of the world. One hundred days later, we are on the brink of a financial crisis.

Trump won the 2024 election largely because voters believed his promises to "fix" the economy, which they perceived as struggling. Although the last four years have seen strong economic growth and a remarkable recovery from the COVID collapse, Americans have still seen an overall increase in prices and stagnant wages compared to pre-COVID levels.

But instead of fixing the economy, Donny 2-Dolls has intentionally and single-handedly engineered the collapse of the stock market and the ensured a future filled with shortages and price increases. He launched a trade war with the entire world that has been dubbed by many as the "dumbest trade war in the history of America." Instead of working with our allies to keep world peace, 2-Dolls insists that we should use our nation's power to bully less-powerful nations into making concessions that benefit only the United States.

Trump turns military on the general public [Link]

Trump orders U.S. troops to bypass that pesky law that says U.S. soldiers cannot arrest people on U.S. soil by declaring a 170-mile-long strip of land crossing through three states a single military base so that anyone who sets foot on it can be searched and arrested.

Turning the military on U.S. citizens is in the authoritarian playbook that the Trump regime has been following since he took office in January.

"The idea that U.S. soldiers are operating on U.S. soil with policing powers, to me feels like every red flag in the world is going off for me," says MSNBC host Rachel Maddow.

Trump regime assault on vets continues, threatening 90,000 with foreclosure [Link]

The Trump regime is planning to end a program that helps veterans avoid foreclosure by offering them a low-interest loan to help them repay delinquent mortgage payments.

Cutting this program puts our nations veterans in a worse position than they would have been if they weren't vets if they have trouble paying their home loans. The VA Servicing Purchase Program (VASP) gave homeowners an option to roll missed payments into a relatively low-interest loan. By cutting this program without offering any replacement, the Trump regime is endangering the home ownership and overall financial stability of around 90,000 veterans.

Keeping you informed...

The lesser of two evils brought us the greatest evil [Link]
Forward Party logo

For decades, Americans have been voting for the lesser of two evils instead of the best candidate for the job. A small percentage of the most partisan and extremist voters choose their preferred candidate in the primaries, and that person ends up on the ballot. So our winner-take-all elections end up with a choice between two extremist and generally unpopular candidates. Instead of voting for the one they want in office, the people vote against the one they don't want in office.

This also makes it impossible for a "third-party" candidate to gain any traction because voters are worried that if they vote for an outsider who doesn't stand a meaningful chance of winning, they are throwing away their vote against the candidate they hate the most.

There is a simple solution to this problem, called "Ranked Choice Voting (RCV)," that rewards candidates who appeal to the general public over candidates that appeal only to party extremists. RCV allows voters to rank candidates so if their first choice can't win, their second choice vote is counted.
