A Resolution to Defend Constitutional Democracy

Whereas,  the current president has deliberately and systematically weakened democratic instituitons, including the separation of powers, freedom of the press, and the independence of the judiciary; and
Whereas,  said president has surrounded himself with an unqualified, loyalist administration, whose allegiance is to party and president rather than the people; and
Whereas,  this administration, along with its political allies, together constitute a cabal seeking to undermine the Constitution of the United States, the rule of law, and the fundamental rights of the people; and
Whereas,  the resulting authoritarian regime stands in direct opposition to the principles of representative democracy and individual liberty upon which the United States was founded; and
Whereas,  to remain a free and democratic republic, the United States must steadfastly defend its democratic institutions from all threats, foreign or domestic; and
Whereas,  democracy is not merely the process of electing leaders but the preservation of the constitutional principles that ensure government remains accountable to the people; and
Whereas,  the people have both the right and the duty to alter or abolish any government that threatens the rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution; and
Whereas,  the legitimacy of any government rests not in the power it holds, but in its adherence to the principles of democracy, justice, and constitutional law—and that any government which abandons these principles abandons its claim to legitimacy;

Therefore, be it resolved  that we, the people, do hereby pledge ourselves to take those actions necessary, in alignment with the nation's founding principles, to rectify these and any future encroachments on the Constitution, the rule of law, and the rights of the people, thereby ensuring that the United States remains a nation of the people, by the people, and for the people.
